Dear God, I claim the promise that you have given me your Spirit. I pray that you guide me in making decisions that will bring happiness and fulfillment in my life. Help me to trust in your wisdom and discernment, and to have the courage to stay true to who I am. May your Spirit fill me with peace and joy, and may I always find contentment in your love. Amen.

1 Corinthians 7:40

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that the woman referred to would be happier if she remains unmarried, and the speaker believes that he has the guidance of God’s Spirit in making this judgment.
