Praying from Colossians 1:24 relating to Suffering, Redemption, Unity.
Dear Lord, I thank you for the privilege of suffering for the sake of others. Help me to see the purpose in my afflictions and to find joy in them, knowing that they are for the benefit of your body, the assembly. May I be willing to fill up what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ in my flesh, and may my suffering bring glory to your name. Strengthen me in my trials and use me to bless others, even in the midst of my own pain. Amen.
Verse: Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the assembly,
Colossians 1:24
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to rejoice in their sufferings for the sake of others and for the sake of Christ’s body, which is the assembly.
