Praying from Romans 3:20. Themes: Justification, Law, Sin

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before you today, humbled by the truth that no flesh will be justified in your sight by the works of the law. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that I fall short of your glory.

But I thank you for the promise that through the law comes the knowledge of sin. I claim this promise today, knowing that it is only through the knowledge of my sin that I can truly understand the depth of your grace and mercy.

I ask that you would continue to reveal to me the areas of my life where I need to repent and turn towards you. Help me to rely on your grace and not my own works, knowing that it is only through faith in your Son, Jesus Christ, that I can be justified in your sight.

Thank you for your unfailing love and for the promise of salvation through your Son. May I continue to grow in my understanding of your grace and mercy each day.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
Romans 3:20

This is a Promise. The verse states that no one can be justified by the works of the law, but through the law comes the knowledge of sin. This implies that justification can only come through faith in Jesus Christ, not through adherence to the law.
