Praying from Romans 13:1. Themes: Submission, Authority, God’s sovereignty.
Dear God, we come before you today and ask for your guidance and wisdom. Help us to submit ourselves to the higher authorities that you have placed over us. We recognize that all authority comes from you and that those who are in positions of power have been ordained by you. Give us the strength and humility to follow their leadership and to trust in your plan for our lives. May we always seek to honor you in all that we do, and may our actions reflect your love and grace. We pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God.
Romans 13:1
This is a Command. The verse commands every soul to be in subjection to the higher authorities because all authority comes from God and those in authority are ordained by God.
