Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that you have made to David. You have sworn by your holiness that you will not lie to him. I thank you for your faithfulness and your steadfast love towards us. I pray that you will continue to keep your promise to David and to all of us who put our trust in you. Help us to remember that you are a God who keeps his promises and that we can always rely on your word. Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for the assurance that we have in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
