Praying from Psalms 4:2. Themes: Sin, Vanity, Falsehood
Dear Lord, I come before you today with a heavy heart. As I reflect on my life, I realize that I have been chasing after vanity and falsehood. I have not been living up to the glory that you have bestowed upon me. Please forgive me for my shortcomings and help me to turn away from these empty pursuits. I pray that you will guide me towards a life of purpose and meaning, one that brings honor to your name. May my actions and words reflect your love and truth, and may I never again be a source of dishonor. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: You sons of men, how long shall my glory be turned into dishonor? Will you love vanity and seek after falsehood?
Psalms 4:2
This is a Command. The verse is a call to action for the reader to stop loving vanity and seeking falsehood, and instead honor God’s glory.
