Prayer based on Psalms 38:4. Themes: Sin, Burden, Redemption
Dear Lord, I come before you with a heavy heart, burdened by my own iniquities. I confess that my sins have gone over my head and I am unable to bear the weight of my transgressions. But I claim the promise that you have given us in your word, that if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So I ask for your forgiveness and your cleansing power to wash over me. Help me to turn away from my sinful ways and to walk in your righteousness. Thank you for your grace and mercy that is new every morning. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: For my iniquities have gone over my head. As a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.
Psalms 38:4
