Dear Lord, I thank you for your loving kindness that brings me joy and fills my heart with gladness. You have seen my afflictions and known my soul in adversities. I claim the promise that you will never leave me nor forsake me, and that you will always be with me through every trial and hardship. I trust in your unfailing love and mercy, and I know that you will bring me through every storm. Thank you for your faithfulness and for being my rock and my refuge. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse promises that God will be glad and rejoice in the reader’s loving kindness because He has seen their affliction and knows their soul in adversities.
