Praying from Psalms 22:16. Themes: Suffering, Betrayal, Redemption.

of God’s protection and deliverance.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before you today with a heavy heart, feeling surrounded by the troubles and challenges of this world. Just like the psalmist, I feel like dogs have surrounded me, and a company of evildoers have enclosed me. But I know that you are a God of protection and deliverance, and I claim the promise of your word that says, “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

I trust in your unfailing love and your mighty power to protect me from harm and to deliver me from the hands of my enemies. I declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and that every tongue that rises against me in judgment shall be condemned. I believe that you have already pierced the hands and feet of my enemies, and that they will not be able to harm me.

Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness and your love. I know that you are with me always, and that you will never leave me nor forsake me. I trust in your promises, and I declare that I am safe and secure in your loving arms.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: For dogs have surrounded me. A company of evildoers have enclosed me.They have pierced my hands and feet.
Psalms 22:16

This is a Promise. The verse is a prophecy about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, who was pierced in his hands and feet. It is a promise that God’s plan for salvation would be fulfilled through Jesus’ sacrifice.
