Dear Lord, I thank you for delivering me from the strivings of the people. You have made me the head of the nations, and I am grateful for this honor. I claim the promise that a people whom I have not known shall serve me. I trust in your unfailing love and guidance as I lead and serve those around me. May your will be done in my life, and may I always give you the glory for all that I accomplish. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse is a declaration of God’s deliverance and exaltation of the speaker. It is not a command to the reader.
