Prayer based on Psalms 131:2. Themes: Trust, Rest, Contentment.

Dear Lord, I come before you today with a heart that longs for stillness and quietness. I claim the promise in your word that says, “Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.” I ask that you help me to find rest and peace in your presence, just like a weaned child finds comfort in the arms of their mother. Help me to trust in you completely and surrender all my worries and fears to you. May my soul be still and quiet, knowing that you are in control of all things. Thank you for your love and faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.
