Prayer based on Psalms 106:29. Themes: Rebellion, Consequences, Mercy.
Lord, we come before you today, acknowledging that we have sinned against you with our deeds. We have provoked you to anger and have not followed your ways. But we claim the promise that you have given us in Psalm 106:29, that even when we rebel against you, you are merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
We ask for your forgiveness for our sins and for the sins of our nation. We pray that you would heal our land and protect us from the plague that has broken in on us. We trust in your power and your love to see us through this difficult time.
Help us to turn away from our sinful ways and to follow you with all our hearts. May we be a people who honor you in all that we do, and may your name be glorified in our lives.
Thank you for your faithfulness and your love, even when we don’t deserve it. We trust in your promises and we know that you will never leave us or forsake us. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
