Prayer based on Psalms 106:15. Themes: Discontentment, Consequences, God’s Sovereignty.

Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that you gave to your people in Psalm 106:15. You promised to give them their request, but also warned that it could lead to leanness in their soul. I ask that you would grant me the desires of my heart, but also give me the wisdom to discern what is truly best for me. Help me to seek your will above all else and to trust in your perfect timing. May my soul be filled with your love, joy, and peace, and may I never lose sight of your goodness and faithfulness. Thank you for your promise and for your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.
Psalms 106:15

This is a Promise. The verse is a warning that getting what we want may not always bring true satisfaction or fulfillment.
