Prayer based on Proverbs 20:9. Themes: Sin, Humility, Redemption.
Dear God, I come before you humbly and acknowledge that I am not perfect. I cannot say that I have made my heart pure or that I am without sin. I ask for your forgiveness for any wrongs I have committed and for the strength to resist temptation and live a life that is pleasing to you. Help me to continually seek your guidance and to grow in my faith. Amen.
Verse: Who can say, “I have made my heart pure. I am clean and without sin?”
Proverbs 20:9
This is a Command. The verse is a rhetorical question that challenges the reader to examine their own heart and acknowledge their sinfulness.
