Dear Lord, please help me to never be a son who causes shame and brings reproach by robbing my father or driving away my mother. Give me the strength and wisdom to always honor and respect my parents, and to be a source of joy and pride to them. Help me to be a loving and responsible son, and to always do what is right in your eyes. Amen.

Verse: He who robs his father and drives away his mother is a son who causes shame and brings reproach.
Proverbs 19:26

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader not to rob their father or drive away their mother, as doing so brings shame and reproach.
