Prayer based on Proverbs 19:16. Themes: Obedience, Consequences, Pride

Dear Lord, help me to keep your commandments and to follow your ways. May I always be obedient to your will and may I never be contemptuous in my actions. Protect my soul and guide me towards eternal life with you. Amen.

Verse: He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, but he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die.
Proverbs 19:16

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to keep the commandment in order to keep their soul. It also warns that being contemptuous in one’s ways will lead to death.
