Dear God, please help me to always speak with a gentle tongue, so that my words may bring life and encouragement to those around me. Please guard my heart against deceit, and help me to always speak truthfully and with integrity. May my words never crush the spirit of others, but instead lift them up and bring them closer to you. Amen.

Proverbs 15:4
