Prayer based on Matthew 25:32. Themes: Judgment, Separation, Shepherd
Dear Lord,
As we approach the day when all nations will be gathered before you, we pray that you will guide us and help us to be prepared. We ask that you would separate us from the things that would lead us astray, and help us to follow your path.
Just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, we pray that you would separate us from the things that would harm us and lead us away from you. Help us to be like the sheep, following your voice and your guidance, and avoiding the pitfalls that would lead us astray.
We pray that you would help us to be ready for the day when we will stand before you, and that you would guide us in all that we do. May we always be faithful to you, and may we always seek your will in our lives.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.
Verse: Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to be prepared for the separation that will happen before God.
