Prayer based on Matthew 20:31. Themes: Persistence, Mercy, Faith
Dear Lord, I claim the promise that you will hear the cries of those who call out to you in faith. Just as the multitude rebuked the blind men and told them to be quiet, I know that the world may try to silence my prayers and doubts may try to discourage me. But I will cry out even more, “Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner, and the son/daughter of David.” I trust that you will hear my plea and have compassion on me. Thank you for your unfailing love and mercy. Amen.
Verse: The multitude rebuked them, telling them that they should be quiet, but they cried out even more, “Lord, have mercy on us, you son of David!”
