Praying from Matthew 19:27. Themes: Sacrifice, Reward, Discipleship.
Dear Lord,
As Peter once said, we too have left everything to follow you. We have given up our worldly possessions and desires to serve you and your kingdom. We trust in your promise that those who leave everything for your sake will receive a hundredfold and inherit eternal life.
We claim this promise today, Lord. We ask that you bless us abundantly and provide for all our needs as we continue to follow you. Help us to remain faithful and steadfast in our commitment to you, even when the road ahead is difficult.
Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for the promise of eternal life with you. We give you all the glory and honor, now and forever.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This is a Promise.
Peter is asking Jesus what reward they will receive for leaving everything to follow him. Jesus goes on to promise them that they will receive a hundredfold and inherit eternal life.
