Dear Lord,

Help me to approach you with the same urgency and boldness as the woman who requested the head of John the Baptist. May I have the courage to ask for what I need and trust in your provision.

But also, Lord, help me to have a heart of compassion and not seek harm to others. May I always remember to love my neighbor as myself and seek to do good in all situations.

Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for always hearing my prayers.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
