Dear Lord, like John who fearlessly spoke truth to Herod, help us to have the courage to speak truth to those in power, even when it may be difficult or unpopular. May we always stand firm in our convictions and uphold your laws, even when it may be inconvenient or uncomfortable. Amen.

Verse: For John had said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”
