Prayer based on Luke 16:13. Themes: Loyalty, Materialism, God’s Sovereignty.

Dear God,

I come before you today acknowledging that I cannot serve two masters. I know that if I try to serve both you and Mammon, I will end up loving one and despising the other. So, I pray that you help me to choose you as my one and only master.

Please give me the strength and wisdom to resist the temptations of the world and to focus on serving you with all my heart, mind, and soul. Help me to prioritize your will above all else and to trust that you will provide for all my needs.

Thank you for your love and grace, and for always being there for me. I pray that you continue to guide me on my journey and help me to live a life that is pleasing to you.

In Jesus’ name, I pray,

Amen.

Verse: No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to one and despise the other. You aren’t able to serve God and Mammon.”
Luke 16:13

This is a Command: The verse commands the reader to not serve both God and Mammon.
