Prayer based on Luke 13:7. Themes: Judgment, Repentance, Fruitfulness.
Dear Lord, we come before you today with humble hearts, seeking your mercy and grace. We know that you are the vine dresser, and we are the fig tree. We acknowledge that we have not always borne fruit as we should, and we have wasted the soil that you have given us. We ask for your forgiveness and your help to produce fruit that is pleasing to you. Please do not cut us down, but instead, give us another chance to grow and flourish under your care. We pray that you would prune us, nourish us, and guide us so that we may bear fruit that will glorify your name. Thank you for your patience and your love, and we pray that you would continue to work in our lives, transforming us into the image of your Son. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: He said to the vine dresser, ‘ Behold, these three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree, and found none. Cut it down! Why does it waste the soil?’
Luke 13:7
This is a Command: Cut it down.
