Prayer based on Luke 11:4. Themes: Forgiveness, Temptation, Deliverance
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before you humbly, acknowledging my sins and shortcomings. I ask for your forgiveness and mercy, knowing that I am not worthy of your grace. Help me to forgive others as you have forgiven me, and to extend love and compassion to those who have wronged me.
Lord, I also ask that you protect me from temptation and deliver me from the evil one. I know that I cannot overcome these challenges on my own, but with your strength and guidance, I can resist the devil and his schemes.
Thank you for your promise to forgive and protect us, and for your unwavering love and faithfulness. I trust in you and submit to your will, knowing that you have the power to transform my life and lead me on the path of righteousness.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’”
Luke 11:4
This is a Both.
The command is to forgive others as we ask for forgiveness for our own sins. The promise is for God to deliver us from temptation and the evil one.
