Dear Lord, like the woman at the well, I come to you today asking for the living water that only you can provide. Please quench my thirst and satisfy my soul so that I may never thirst again. Help me to rely on you completely and not seek fulfillment in the things of this world. Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for always being there to provide for my needs. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I don’t get thirsty, neither come all the way here to draw.”
John 4:15
This is a Command. The woman is asking Jesus to give her the water he spoke of so that she won’t get thirsty and won’t have to keep coming to the well to draw water.
