Prayer based on John 13:33. Themes: Presence, Seeking, Exclusion
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for your promise that you will be with us always. As we seek you, we trust that you will guide us and lead us in the right direction. We claim the promise that you have given us, that you will never leave us nor forsake us. Help us to trust in your plan for our lives, even when we don’t understand it. We pray that you will continue to be with us, and that we will one day be able to join you in your heavenly kingdom. In your precious name we pray, Amen.
Verse: Little children, I will be with you a little while longer. You will seek me, and as I said to the Jews, ‘ Where I am going, you can’t come,’ so now I tell you.
John 13:33
This is a Promise.
The verse promises that Jesus will be with the little children for a little while longer, and that they will seek him. It also references a previous statement made to the Jews about where Jesus is going, implying that the children cannot follow him there.
