Praying from Hebrews 8:5 relating to Pattern, Warning, Tabernacle

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the reminder that the earthly things we serve are only a copy and shadow of the heavenly things. Help us to keep our focus on you and your eternal kingdom, rather than getting caught up in the temporary things of this world.

Just as Moses was warned by you to make the tabernacle according to the pattern shown to him on the mountain, may we also seek your guidance and follow your plans for our lives. Help us to trust in your perfect design and to walk in obedience to your will.

We pray that our lives would reflect your glory and that we would be a shining light in this world, pointing others towards you. May we always remember that our true home is with you in heaven, and may we live each day with that eternal perspective in mind.

In Jesus’ name we pray,

Verse: who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, even as Moses was warned by God when he was about to make the tabernacle, for he said, “See, you shall make everything according to the pattern that was shown to you on the mountain.”
Hebrews 8:5

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to make everything according to the pattern shown on the mountain, just as Moses was instructed by God when he made the tabernacle.
