Dear Lord,
Thank you for the promise of resurrection and new life in you. Just as you raised the woman in Acts 9:41, I claim that promise for myself and for those I love who have passed away. I trust that you will give them your hand and raise them up to eternal life with you.
I pray that you would comfort those who are grieving and remind them of the hope we have in you. Help us to trust in your goodness and love, even in the midst of loss and pain.
Thank you for the gift of salvation and the promise of eternal life. May we live each day with the assurance of your love and the hope of resurrection.

This is a Promise. The verse describes how a woman was raised from the dead and presented alive to the saints and widows. There is no command given to the reader.
