Prayer based on Acts 2:34. Themes: Christ’s exaltation, Lordship, fulfillment of prophecy.

Dear Lord,

I come before you today, claiming the promise that you have made to us through your word. As it is written, “For David didn’t ascend into the heavens, but he says himself, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit by my right hand.”‘”

I claim this promise today, knowing that you have exalted your Son, Jesus Christ, to sit at your right hand. I thank you for the sacrifice that he made on the cross, and for the victory that he has won over sin and death.

Lord, I pray that you would help me to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus, who is the author and perfecter of my faith. I pray that you would strengthen me to walk in obedience to your will, and to live a life that brings glory to your name.

Thank you for your faithfulness, and for the promise that you have made to us. I trust in your goodness and your love, and I pray that you would continue to guide me and lead me in the path of righteousness.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: For David didn’t ascend into the heavens, but he says himself,‘ The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit by my right hand
Acts 2:34

This is a Promise.

The verse is stating that David did not ascend into heaven, but he prophesied that the Lord said to his Lord (referring to Jesus), “Sit at my right hand.” This is a promise that Jesus would be exalted and given a position of honor and authority at the right hand of God.
