Dear Lord,

We pray for the strength and courage to let go of anything that hinders our relationship with you. Just as those who practiced magical arts burned their books, may we also burn away any sinful habits, negative thoughts, and worldly desires that keep us from fully surrendering to you. Help us to count the cost of our actions and find true value in following your ways. May we be willing to sacrifice anything that stands in the way of our relationship with you.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
