Praying from 2 Corinthians 6:9. Themes: Suffering, Resurrection, Grace

Dear Lord,

As I come before you today, I am reminded of the words in 2 Corinthians 6:9 that say, “as unknown and yet well known, as dying and behold – we live, as punished and not killed.” I submit myself to you, acknowledging that I am unknown to the world, but known by you. I am dying to myself, but through you, I have new life. I have been punished, but I am not destroyed.

Lord, I claim the promise in this verse that even though I may face trials and hardships, I am not alone. You are with me, and you will sustain me. Help me to trust in your goodness and faithfulness, even when I cannot see the way ahead. May I live each day with the assurance that I am well known by you, and that through your grace, I have the strength to overcome any obstacle.

Thank you for your love and mercy, and for the promise of eternal life through your son, Jesus Christ. May I continue to grow in my faith and trust in you, and may my life be a reflection of your grace and goodness.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
