Dear Lord, I thank you for the authority that you have given me for building up others and not for tearing them down. I pray that I may never be ashamed of boasting about this authority, for it is a gift from you. Help me to use this authority wisely and for your glory, so that others may be built up in faith and love. I claim the promise that you have given me this authority for a purpose, and I trust that you will guide me in using it for your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: For even if I boast somewhat abundantly concerning our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for casting you down, I will not be ashamed,
2 Corinthians 10:8

This is a Promise. The verse promises that the authority given by the Lord is for building up the reader, not for casting them down.
