Praying from 1 Timothy 6:17 relating to Wealth, Humility, Hope
Dear God, we pray for those who are rich in this present age. Please help them to not be arrogant and to not put their hope in the uncertainty of riches. Instead, we ask that they put their hope in you, the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. May they find joy and contentment in you and not in material possessions. Amen.
Verse: Charge those who are rich in this present age that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;
1 Timothy 6:17
This is a Command. The verse instructs the reader to charge those who are rich to not be arrogant and to place their hope in God rather than in their wealth.
