Praying from 1 Corinthians 15:45. Themes: Redemption, Resurrection, Humanity
Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that you have given us through your word. As it is written, “The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.” I claim this promise today and ask that you would fill me with your life-giving spirit. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to you and to be a vessel of your love and grace to those around me. May your spirit flow through me and bring life to all those who are in need. Thank you for your faithfulness and for the promise of eternal life through your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Verse: So also it is written, “The first man Adam became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
1 Corinthians 15:45
This is a Promise. The verse is stating that Jesus, referred to as the “last Adam,” became a life-giving spirit, contrasting with the first Adam who only became a living soul. This is a promise of the life-giving power of Jesus.
