Praying from 1 Corinthians 12:26. Themes: Unity, Empathy, Community
Dear Lord,
We thank you for the promise that when one member suffers, all the members suffer with it, and when one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. We claim this promise today and ask that you help us to live it out in our daily lives.
When our brothers and sisters are hurting, may we be quick to offer comfort and support. Help us to bear one another’s burdens and to be a source of strength and encouragement to those who are struggling.
And when our brothers and sisters are honored, may we rejoice with them and celebrate their successes. Help us to be genuinely happy for others and to recognize that their victories are our victories as well.
Lord, we know that we are all members of one body, and that we are called to love and care for one another. Help us to live out this truth in our lives, and to be a community that supports and uplifts one another.
We pray all of this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: When one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. When one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
1 Corinthians 12:26
This is a Promise. The verse is stating that when one member of a community is suffering, all members will feel the effects of that suffering. Similarly, when one member is honored, all members will feel joy.
