Dear Lord, I humbly come before you and acknowledge that I am not greater than you, my master and Lord. I recognize that I am your servant and that you have sent me to do your work. Help me to always remember that I am not above you or your will. May I always be obedient to your commands and follow your lead. Thank you for sending me and for entrusting me with your work. May I always be faithful and honor you in all that I do. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his lord, neither is one who is sent greater than he who sent him.
John 13:16

This is a Command. The verse is a reminder to the reader that they should not consider themselves greater than their master or the one who sent them. It is a call to humility and obedience.
