Dear Lord, I claim the promise that you have earnestly desired to be with me. Just as you desired to eat the Passover with your disciples before you suffered, I know that you desire to be with me in my times of trial and suffering. Help me to remember that you are always with me, even in the darkest moments. Thank you for your unwavering love and presence in my life. Amen.

The verse is Jesus expressing his desire to eat the Passover meal with his disciples before he suffers. There is no command given to the reader.
