Praying from Matthew 6:23 relating to Darkness, Light, Evil.

Dear God, please help me to keep my eyes fixed on you and to resist the temptation of evil. May your light shine brightly within me, illuminating every corner of my being and guiding me towards goodness and righteousness. Protect me from the darkness that seeks to consume me and help me to always choose the path of light. Amen.

Verse: But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
Matthew 6:23

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to guard their eyes and avoid evil, lest their whole body be filled with darkness. It warns of the danger of having darkness within oneself, and the magnitude of that darkness.
