Prayer based on Proverbs 8:36. Themes: Sin, Consequence, Love

Dear Lord, I pray that I may never sin against you and wrong my own soul. Help me to always choose the path of righteousness and follow your commandments. May I never hate you, but instead love you with all my heart, soul, and mind. Protect me from the temptation of sin and guide me towards eternal life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul. All those who hate me love death.”
Proverbs 8:36

This is a Command: The reader is commanded not to sin against God, as doing so harms their own soul. The verse also implies that those who hate God love death.
