Prayer based on Psalms 89:41. Themes: Suffering, Shame, Betrayal.
Father God, I come before you today claiming the promise that you will be a shield and a refuge to those who trust in you. Lord, I confess that I have been robbed by those who pass by the way, and I have become a reproach to my neighbors. But I know that you are faithful and true, and that you will never leave me nor forsake me. So I ask that you would be my shield and my refuge, protecting me from those who seek to harm me and restoring my reputation among my neighbors. I trust in your promise to be with me always, and I thank you for your unfailing love and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
